Nadal breaks multiple records after Monte Carlo success

Rafael Nadal won the Monte Carlo Masters Series tournament for the fourth time in a row, breaking multiple records in the process.

The 21-year-old Spaniard becomes the first player to win a specific Masters Series tournament four years in a row and can equal that feat if he wins the Rome tournament which begins on May 5.

Nadal's fourth successive win at Monte Carlo also marks the first time in the open era that anyone has won Monte Carlo four times in a row.

The victory was Nadal's seventh Masters Series win on clay which is also a record, his total moving ahead of Thomas Muster's six.

Thats really an amazing feat. It makes you wonder how long it will be until someone comes along to make it harder for the same person to win. Thats something to be proud of in the meantime.
