Haye: Klitschko fight would be as big as Lewis-Tyson
David Haye believes that his potential fight against Wladimir Klitschko could be the biggest heavyweight bout since Lennox Lewis fought Mike Tyson in 2002. The undisputed cruiserweight champion is stepping up to the top division and has his sight set on Klitschko, the WBO and IBF heavyweight king.
The Londoner confronted Klitschko before a charity press conference in London's Docklands on Saturday, insisting the Ukranian was 'hiding' from him, and he insists it is the only fight that will get the boxing public excited - and he thinks it would only go half the distance.
"In Vegas everyone was asking when I'm fighting Klitschko. It's the fight everyone wants," said Haye.
"This would be the biggest fight in the heavyweight division since Lennox Lewis and Mike Tyson.
"He holds the most heavyweight titles and I'm the fastest fighter with the best knockout record so we should fight as soon as possible.
"He's just hiding behind the mandatory defences. But he's just scared and I can see it in his eyes. I reckon I'll knock him out in six rounds."

Alright, this is getting more and more outrageous! First David Haye made some claims to being the greatest boxer, and now he tries to put himself in the same sentance with Lennox Lewis? I just can't believe this guy! I have no doubt a Klitschko/ Haye bought would be exciting and draw some crowds, but this guy just seems a bit TOO over the top!

Let's have it! I would love to see a fight between these 2 guys. Seriously, what's the hold up? Even though Haye talks big you just never know what could happen in a fight like this.

I think this would be a great fight myself. And if Klitschko is hiding you can't blame him completely. Who wants to get beaten? Even if he wins it will be amidst some pretty shabby support.
