Young chuffed to be in PFA team
Aston Villa forward Ashley Young is delighted at being named in the Professional Footballers' Association Premier League Team of the Year. Though the 22-year-old was quick to credit his team-mates for their work in making the team a success.
The England attacker, who made his international bow in November last year in the 1-0 win in Austria, said: "We've done well because of our strengths as a team.
"My parents called to tell me I was in the team and naturally I'm delighted. It's a real honour to be in this team - especially as it's selected by my fellow players.
"It's a massive achievement for me to have the respect of my peers but this is something the whole team can take credit for. That's been our strength this season.
"This shows how far we've come this season and it's the latest highlight in what's been a memorable season. Now we have to make sure we stay the course and finish the job off."
PFA Premier League Team of the Year: David James (Portsmouth), Bacary Sagna (Arsenal), Rio Ferdinand (Man Utd), Nemanja Vidic (Man Utd), Gael Clichy (Arsenal), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal), Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd), Ashley Young (Aston Villa), Emmanuel Adebayor (Arsenal), Fernando Torres (Liverpool).

What an accomplishment, and for such a well deserving player. I think its great he immediately mentioned his team instead of allowing himself to be flattered for being part of it.
