Penguins take commanding lead over Rangers
Pittsburgh Penguins beat New York Rangers 5-3 to take a commanding 3-0 lead in their NHL Eastern Conference semi-final series. Evgeni Malkin scored two power-play goals for the Penguins who are now one win away from overall victory.
Pittsburgh beat Ottawa Senators 4-0 in their opening play-off series and can complete another clean sweep at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night.
Elsewhere, Dallas Stars beat San Jose Sharks 2-1 to take a 3-0 lead in their play-off series, while Detroit Red Wings are also 3-0 ahead against Colorado Avalanche following a 4-3 win.
