Celtics gain play-off advantage over Hawks
Boston Celtics have taken a 3-2 lead in their best-of-seven play-off series against Atlanta Hawks after securing a 110-85 victory on their home court. Paul Pierce scored 22 points, with Kevin Garnett adding 20 and Ray Allen 19.
The victory means all games in the series so far have been won by the home team, with game seven scheduled for Atlanta. However, if the Hawks tie it up on Friday night the decisive seventh game will be played in Boston on Sunday.
Elswhere in the NBA play-offs, Caron Butler of the Washington Wizards scored in the last four seconds to beat Cleveland Cavaliers 88-87 and keep his side's title hopes alive.
The Cavs still lead the series 3-2, while the Wizards will have to play their remaining matches without Gilbert Arenas whose season is now over because of his troublesome knee injury.
