Snooker semi-final round up: Duo deadlocked while Perry leads

Ronnie O'Sullivan and Stephen Hendry will restart their battle for a place in the final of the World Championship at The Crucible on Friday morning with the match locked at 4-4.Hendry, who has won seven titles at the Sheffield event, had raced into a 3-0 lead as O'Sullivan wobbled in the opening stages.

But 'The Rocket' rediscovered his form to level proceedings at 4-4 going into Friday morning sessionas he won the final three frames at a canter.

In the other semi-final, Joe Perry will take a 5-3 lead into Friday's session after his quick start pushed Ali Carter onto the backfoot.

Perry raced into a 3-0 lead with breaks of 54, 62 and 68 leaving Carter facing an uphill struggle.

Carter did recover to win the fourth, but Perry continued to look the more assured and breaks of 84 and 72 soon saw him move into a 5-1 lead.

But Carter fought back to take the final frame of the session and bolster his chances of success ahead of the next session.
