Dodgers extend winning streak to eight after defeating Rockies

The LA Dodgers extended their MLB winning streak to eight after beating the Colorado Rockies 12-7. James Loney starred with the bat, knocking in six of LA's 12 runs, including one home run.

He had a chance to break his single-game record of nine RBIs when he came to the plate with the bases loaded in the eighth, but he struck out.

"I was just trying to hit a ball hard somewhere, but I missed my pitch on the first pitch," Loney said.

The Dodgers didn't miss many pitches. They finished with 14 hits, and they've scored 11 or more runs in three of their last four games.
