Kim leads Wachovia Championship

American second-year professional Anthony Kim, 22, leads the Wachovia Championship after a storming six-under-par 66 on Saturday in Charlotte, North Carolina. Going into the day Kim had been two shots behind the leader, but now is in pole position to collect the $6.4-million winner's kitty, after creating a four-shot lead.

Jason Bohn, the second-round leader, and Heath Slocum lie in Kim's wake at Quail Hollow Country Club. Bohn compared Kim, who he was playing with, to world No1 Tiger Woods.

He said: "I played with somebody who played extraordinarily good, almost Tigeresque. He hit a lot of great shots. So it was fun. I got to watch good golf, anyhow."

Kim added: "I feel like I'm ready, but you never know. Every day is a new day, especially with this crazy game."
