Natagora romps home to victory in 1000 Guineas

Natagora lived up to the tag of 1000 Guineas favourite at Newmarket, romping to victory half-a-length ahead of Spacious, with Saoirse Abu finishing third. The 11-4 favourite, trained in France by Pascal Bary and ridden by Christophe Lemaire, was out of the stalls sharply to set the pace, and dictated the tempo from start to finish.

Lemaire said: "I can't believe it. I had so much confidence, the only thing for me was to try to get a good position without using too much energy. She gave all she had and is a fantastic filly."
