Nadel wins fourth straight Barcelona Open
In an all-Spanish final of the Barcelona Open, it was world No2 who strolled to a 6-1, 4-6, 6-1 victory over David Ferrer. Nadal underlined his caly court dominance by taking the title for the fourth consecutive year.
After breezing to the first set, Nadal dropped serve twice as Ferrer took the second.
But the champion stepped up a gear in the decider, moving 5-0 up and sealing the title in two hours 14 minutes.
Having also won the Monte Carlo Masters last Sunday, Nadal heads to next week's Rome Masters as a strong favourite.
