Wasps return to winning ways
Wasps cruised to a fifth successive away victory with a 32-12 victory over Newcastle at Kingsfield.England star Danny Cipriani kicked five goals, while tries by Paul Sackey, Josh Lewsey, Tom Rees and James Haskell secured a bonus point win for Ian McGeechan's side.
The victory sees Wasps climb up into the play-off zone above rivals Sale and Harlequins, while a win at already relegated Leeds on Saturday could secure second place in the Guinness Premiership.
After seeing their eight-game unbeaten run come to an end against Gloucester on Sunday, Wasps were not in the mood for being denied victory once again.
And despite resting key players such as Lawrence Dallaglio, Rapahel Ibanez and Tom Voyce, they were rarely troubled by a poor Falcons side.
Sackey's try, which saw the England man sprint some 80-yards to finish off a stunning Wasps counter-attack, proved the highlight of the evening.
Tom May and Ollie Phillips provided the only real bright points for the home side, both men running in tries to give their side hope, but they never seriously threatened a comeback.
