Pierce shoots Celtics to victory
Paul Pierce scored 19 points to give the Boston Celtics an 89-73 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers and a 2-0 series lead in the Eastern Conference semi-finals. Kevin Garnett added 13 points, while Ray Allen broke his seven-quarter scoring drought with 16 as the Celtics took an iron like grip on the series.
However, Boston will know that the Cavaliers lost the first two games to Detroit in last year's play-offs, only to win four straight to reach the NBA finals.
