Heidfeld remaining confident
Nick Heidfeld insists BMW Sauber can continue to challenge McLaren and says his team hope to benefit from the latest improvements to their car. Heidfeld, who will be hoping to achieve a podium finish at this weekend's Turkish Grand Prix, sits fifth in the drivers' championship and will be looking for yet more points on Sunday.
Despite the dominance of Ferrari, BMW Sauber have continued to shine, constantly challenging at the right end of the grid.
And the German driver is fully expecting another tight tussle, claiming his car is more than capable of competing with the McLaren's of Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen.
He told F1.com: "We are in a close fight with McLaren - sometimes they end up on top, sometimes we do and I hope that the small changes on our car will give us the upper hand.
"Except for Australia we have been a little stronger most of the time. That is also what I expect here, though I naturally only know what we have changed on our car - I don't know about them."
