Kubica unhappy with BMW

BMW Sauber driver Robert Kubica insists his team will need to pull out all the stops if they are to compete with McLaren and Ferrari in Turkey this weekend. Kubica finished practice in sixth after encountering suspension problems, while team-mate Nick Heidfeld came four places further back in 10th.

"Unfortunately I didn't have too much time on the track this morning due to a small technical problem," Kubica told autosport.com.

"Therefore we had to squeeze the morning work into this afternoon's programme. We only did four runs and had to work on the tyres and the set-up.

"We still have a few problems with the balance of the car, but tested several set-up options which we will now evaluate and then choose the best one. I am confident for tomorrow."

Heidfeld also voiced his concerns over his car's performance, with tyre problems at the top of his agenda ahead of Sunday.

"The trouble is I don't get the tyres heated up quickly enough," he said.

"The long run wasn't bad. As soon as the tyres start to work, it is okay, but it takes too long to get there. We now have to work on that."

Well I hope they get it all straightened out soon. Having them in top condition is key in actually performing well, so they need to hurry, fix it all up, and then start mentally preparing for the event.
