Savage: I want Brum to go down

Robbie Savage has urged former team-mate David Dunn to fire Blackburn to victory on Sunday and send Birmingham back to the Championship. Savage, who now plays for already relegated Derby, fell out with Birmingham after leaving St Andrews in 2005 to join Blackburn and the former Wales man insists he would love to see the Midlands club relegated.

And now Savage is hoping his former Blackburn pals can hammer the final nail in Birmingham's coffin and seal an immediate return to the Championship.

He told the Sun: "I talked to Dunny earlier in the season and he said: 'Just imagine if we go to Birmingham on the last day and we put them down.'

"I'm not there now but Dunny still is and it could happen. If it did it would be an amazing fairytale.

"I'd love to see Blackburn back in Europe again. It would be great for the club."
