Jazz in tune to see off Lakers

Carlos Boozer called the tune as the Utah Jazzproduced an impressive 104-99 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers. Boozer, who scored 27 points to equal his career play-off high, also had 20 rebounds as the Utah clawed their way back to trail 2-1 in the Western Conference semi-finals.

Kobe Bryant top-scored for the Lakers with 34 points, but it wasn't enough to prevent them from falling to their first defeat in this season's play-offs.

"We competed very hard, much better than we did over there. That's what happens with a young team," Utah coach Jerry Sloan said.

"We made mistakes but we kept playing hard. Before, we made mistakes and we felt sorry for ourselves. We kept playing hard."
