Dementieva sets up all Russian final
Elena Dementieva expressed her joy at setting up an all-Russian final at the German Open after beating Ana Ivanovic 6-2 7-5 in the semi-finals. Dementieva, who will now face her compatriot Dinara Safina, broke the world number two five times on her way to a deserved victory.
"It's going to be amazing to have a Russian final," Dementieva told the BBC.
"I haven't played her (Safina) for a long time. I am really looking forward to it.
"I enjoyed the semi-final, Ana is a great player and I really gave my best today. It is never easy playing against her, but I was really focused and I worked hard for every single point."
