Ivanisevic backs countryman Ancic for Wimbledon joy
Goran Ivanisevic has backed Mario Ancic to be the biggest challenger to Roger Federer at this year's Wimbledon tournament. Ancic reached the semi-finals in 2004, but has recently been suffering with glandular fever.
However, Ivanisevic - who won Wimbledon in 2001 - believes his compatriot can go deep in the London tournament this year.
"If Mario stays healthy and fit he is the second favourite to win Wimbledon, after Roger Federer," he said.
"Grass is grass and Ancic is a better player on grass than Rafael Nadal and maybe also Novak Djokovic. If he has a good draw and he isn't in Federer's half, he has a good chance to be in the final.
"Once you are in the final, anything can happen. If he stays healthy, everyone should watch out.Mario had a lot of bad luck with illness and injury but hopefully it is going to change."
