Cipriani leads award nominations
Wasps and England star Danny Cipriani has been nominated for two end of season awards after his outstanding season. Cipriani, who is up for the Guinness Premiership Player of the Season and the Land Rover Discovery of the season, won his first international cap earlier this year and helped kick his club side into the play-off semi-finals.
Cipriani is joined by Wasps and England team-mate Paul Sackey who is also named in the list of nominations for the Guinness Premiership Player of the Season.
Bath's Olly Barkley joins Gloucester duo Akapusi Qera and James Simpson-Daniel on the list of nominees.
Meanwhile, young Harelquins scrum-half Danny Care has been shortlisted for the Land Rover Discovery award after an impressive season for the London club.
Care is joined in being nominated for the award by team-mate Chris Robshaw, while Bath's Matthew Banahan, Sale's Ben Foden and Cipriani.
Bath head-coach Steve Meehan, Harlequins boss Dean Richards and Gloucester's Dean Ryan will contest the 02 Director of Rugby award.
