Nadal fears ranking slide

Rafael Nadal admits he expects to lose his ranking as world number two after seeing Novak Djokovic clinch yet another title in Rome last week. The Serb ace, who also won last year's Australian Open, is set to overtake Nadal after adding the Rome Masters to his triumph at Indian Wells.

Djokovic has been ranked third for much of the year but has been in sensational form over the past few months, while Nadal has seen his progress hampered by blisters.

"The logical thing is that he goes past me here in Hamburg, or at Roland Garros or Wimbledon," the 21-year-old told the BBC.

"He's a great player and he's doing things very well.

"If I'm number three I'm number three. When it happens I just have to accept it and fight to get the position back."

Isnt there the saying that when you think negative then negative things happen? I can understand knowing when you have been beat, but what about even trying? Doesnt really seem like he cares.
