Cech committed to Chelsea

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has pledged his future to the club after his agent said an unnamed club was lining up a £32m bid for him. The Chelsea keeper has two years left on his current deal and is keen to stay at Stamford Bridge beyond that.

"Contrary to numerous press stories over the last couple of days, I would like to make it very clear I have no plans to leave the club," Cech said.

"I am very happy at Chelsea. I still have two years left on my contract.

"I believe the club will sit down with my representatives at the right time to discuss an extension of my contract."

The 25-year-old Czech Republic international joined Chelsea from French side Rennes four years ago, and has been integral to their success in recent years.

I love players like this -- they're dedicated to the sport, but also committed to their clubs or teams. Kudos to him for making it clear he doesn't want to leave.

I think its great he wants to continue where he is and not just go wherever the money is. I really hope the club comes through with a good offer to keep him there where he wants to be.
