Gilardino joins Fiorentina
Alberto Gilardino has brought an end to his frustrating time at AC Milan by signing for Serie A rivals Fiorentina. The 25-year-old, who was left out of Italy's Euro 2008 squad, scored just seven league goals last season and was frozen out of the first-team after the emergence of young Brazilian star Alexandre Pato.
Gilardino, who has spent the past three years at the San Siro, will now move to Florence where he will play Champions League football next season.
