Derby boss Paul Jewell has completed the double signing of Watford pair Nathan Ellington and Jordan Stewart.Ellington, who will join initially on a year-long loan deal, will sign a permanent deal with the club at the end of next season after his current contract expires.
Ellington worked with Jewell at Wigan and the Derby boss believes he has secured the services of the best striker in the Championship.
Jewell told the club website: "If Nathan can reproduce [his top form], he has the potential to be the best signing of the summer in the division.
"I can't wait to work with him again and get him back to reproducing the type of football I know he can."
Meanwhile, Stewart has signed a three-year deal at Pride Park after deciding against renewing his contract at Vicarage Road.
Jewell added: "Jordan is a great acquisition for us and someone who will have a big part to play in our promotion push next season."
