Robinho: Manchester United have joined Chelsea in the race to sign me
Real Madrid forward Robinho has revealed that Manchester United have joined Chelsea in the race to sign him - and says he would have no problem leaving Real Madrid. Last week Chelsea reportedly launched a £28m bid for the Brazilian striker, but the Premier League champions have now joined the race to sign the player.
And Robinho, who scored a late winner in his country's 3-2 friendly win over Canada at the weekend, admitted he could leave the Bernabeu.
He told the Brazilian press: "I have never hidden away my wish to remain at Real Madrid, but if the interest is serious I will have no problem leaving Real Madrid as the interest from Manchester United and Chelsea makes me very proud."
The 24-year-old has spent three years in Spain but struggled to live up to the billing of being 'the new Pele', a tag he was given when he was a teenager at Santos.
