Bolton drop season ticket prices in bid to entice fans
Bolton Wanderers have responded to last year's poor season by slashing season ticket prices in a bid to fill the Reebok Stadium. The Trotters only just escaped relegation to the Championship and often to played to a home stadium that was only three-quarters full.
In an attempt to stimulate the fans, club officials have dropped junior season tickets by an astonishing 64 per cent to just £49 and the price of adult season tickets in the North Stand Lower Tier has been cut by 14 per cent.
All other season ticket prices around the Reebok have either been reduced or frozen and the club has also transformed the North Stand Lower tier into a permanent singing section following trials during European nights last season.
Bolton Wanderers Head of Communications, Helen Wood, said: "We are offering some of the most competitive prices in the country and we believe that our £49 children's season ticket represents the best deal for children in the Premier League.
"The pricing structure signals Bolton's commitment to making Premier League football at the Reebok Stadium affordable and accessible to the club's entire fanbase.
"It is in stark contrast to recent research which reported most Premier League clubs had imposed substantial increases ahead of the new season.
"Family tickets have also been reduced with accompanying children paying the equivalent of only £1 per game, while adults will pay only £299 for a seat in our new singing section.
"All other prices have been frozen, which means that for the third year in succession prices have been reduced in real terms."

I think its great that they want to fill the stadium instead of increase prices. Its so expensive to get to a game these days in any sport and over time you simply can't afford to keep going unless you make more money.
