Carling Cup First Round draw
The First Round draw for next season's Carling Cup was drawn on Friday morning, and it has thrown up a number of interesting ties, including Championship new boys Reading having to travel to League Two Dagenham & Redbridge.
In other ties Football League new boys Exeter play host to Championship side Southampton while fellow League Two newcomers Aldershot travel to Coventry.
Derby County and Birmingham, both relegated from the Premier League, will play Lincoln and Wycombe Wanderers respectively, while Sheffield Wednesday host Rotherham in a repeat of last season's local derby.
The ties are due to be played week commencing August 11.
