Gleeson hoping to star for both club and country
Warrington Wolves centre Martin Gleeson says he will do everything he can to represent both country and club over the next 72 hours. Gleeson, Adrian Morley and Ben Westwood have been named in England's 19-man squad for Friday night's match against France.
And Gleeson, who has recovered from an ankle injury to play for England, says he is willing to put his body on the line at Hull just two days later as well.
He said: "I'll play Friday and hopefully come through unscathed and double up against Hull.
"It will be tough but I'll be putting my hand up for that.
"We need as many fit and able players as we can.
"It's an honour to be called up for England again and I'm pleased that Benny Westwood has been called up, he's been playing tough for us.
"I'm sure when they name the 25-man squad for the World Cup, if he keeps playing as he has been doing he should be in."
