Lincecum strikes as Giants dwalf Oakland

Pitcher Tim Lincecum was the star of the show as the San Francisco Giants defeated Oakland Athletics. He struck out 11 players and lowered his ERA to 2.38 - good enough for second best in the National League. It was the third time this season he's amassed 10 or more strikeouts in a game.

Left fielder Fred Lewis scored the game's only run in the fourth inning thanks to an error by Oakland first baseman Daric Barton, who misplayed a ball off the bat of Randy Winn.

San Francisco (35-46) had lost 10 of their last 11 against their Bay Area rivals before the victory. The Athletics fell to 44-36 in the loss.
