Dodgers create history in victory over Angels
Los Angeles Dodgers became only the fifth team in modern Major League history to win a game without recording a hit when they squeezed out a 1-0 home victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday.
Angels pitcher Jered Weaver combined with reliever Jose Arredondo to hold the Dodgers hitless in the interleague contest but the game does not count as an official no-hitter because the home team did not bat in the final frame.
Only games in which a team bats all nine innings are recognised by the league.
It was the fifth eight-inning no-hitter since 1900 and the first since Boston Red Sox pitcher Matt Young accomplished the feat in 1992.
The Dodgers scored their run in the fifth inning when a fielding error by Weaver allowed Matt Kemp to reach first base.

Thats a pretty spectacular accomplishment. It also goes to show how well matched the teams were that the only urun was the result of a fielding error. It may pay to continue watching these two teams this season.

That is pretty cool, and what a way to win. This game was a real nail biter, it would be awesome if it had been countes as a no-hitter game.
