Over 10m watch Murray defeat Gasquet
Approximately 10.5m people tuned in to see British No1 Andy Murray's exciting Wimbledon duel with France's Richard Gasquet, according to the British Broadcasting Corporation's viewing figures. The 21-year-old was on court for over three hours as he came back from two sets to love down to advance to the last eight.
Paul Davies, BBC Sport's executive producer at Wimbledon, said: "It's fantastic that such a great sporting event was brought to a wider audience."
