Quins sign Robinson
Harlequins Rugby League have secured the services of Australian utility forward Chad Robinson for next season. The 27-year-old has penned a two-year deal and moves from Australian NRL club Parramatta Eels, where he made his first grade debut at age 19.
Head coach Brian McDermott was delighted to sign Robinson, who will move in November, as Quins have been having problems this season through injury at prop. He said: "This is a position that we have been looking to recruit for for quite some time. Since the beginning of last season we haven't really filled it.
"While we will still continue to show faith in our youth we need to have a seasoned player in this position and we are very pleased that that person is Chad."
Robinson added: "The more I read and research about London and Harlequins RL the more excited I get.
"From my interaction so far with the club they seem to be very professional and well directed so I am expecting likewise when I arrive to play in the European Super League.
"I'm looking forward to meeting my new team mates, and also catching up with a few of the players in the team that I already know."
