Wakefield 14-30 Catalans Dragons

The Catalans Dragons came back from a 12-point deficit to win 30-14 at Wakefield in a topsy-turvy clash at Belle Vue. The victory almost secures the French side, eight of whom played against England last Friday, third spot in the Super League table, while their hosts are stuck in mid-table.

Sean Gleeson and Damien Blanch had given the hosts a perfect start as they went over early on as Wakefield eased into a commanding early lead.

And Wakefield even led 14-10 at half-time before a dire second-half showing gave the visitors belief, which they fully capitalised upon.

Captain Casey McGuire led the fightback with two tries, while Younes Khattabi matched that total and Sebastien Raguin weighed in with a score.

Wakefield lacked any strength in depth after suffering a number of injuries during the second period as Catalans demonstrated their superiority by winning the half by an impressive 20-0 margin.
