Adebayor too expensive for us say AC Milan
AC Milan have ruled themselves out of the race for Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor, claiming the club's valuation of the Togolese is 'impossible' for them to meet. Adebayor has made it clear he would welcome a move to either Spain or Italy, and Barcelona now appear in pole position to sign the former Monaco hitman.
And any fee would seemingly have to be worth around £35m as Milan have revealed that was the sum they were unwilling to pay for the 24-year-old.
"The request for 45million euros (£35.8million) by Arsenal is an impossible request," explained Milan's vice-president Adriano Galliani on the club's official website.
Galliani has previously stated Adebayor was the Rossoneri's only target this summer, but it remains to be seen whether the Italian side will attempt to hijack Ronaldinho's proposed move from Barcelona to Manchester City.
