Rauhihi ready to hit top gear
Warrington Wolves' Paul Rauhihi believes now is the time for his side to hit top gear as the Super League enters its decisive period. Wolves are currently sixth in the table, having won three of James Lowes' first four games in charge, but their season has been dogged with inconsistency.
And Rauhihi, who is available for Sunday's home match against seventh-placed Wakefield after avoiding a suspension at an RFL hearing, believes momentum is the key to Wolves gaining a play-off spot.
He said: "We need to try to start building some momentum in the right direction.
"We've had a couple of good wins in the last few weeks but that loss against Catalans in France was a bit of a hiccup, so we need to get back on track and build some momentum.
"Wakefield have just gone about their business pretty quietly and got the results when they've needed them.
"There probably hasn't been as much focus on them as other teams but they do their job and they do it well."
Wolves' form has improved since Lowes took over from Paul Cullen and Rauhihi thinks the change has had a positive effect so far.
He added: "Whenever there's a change it can either go one of two ways.
"Things can either get worse or they can get better. Things have got better, which is no reflection on Cull, but everyone's probably responded to the change.
"With the players we've got, we should definitely be right up there.
"The fact that we've had a couple of season-ending injuries hasn't helped but we're all working hard together to get where we need to be."
