Campo close to Sociedad move
Ivan Campo is close to finalising a move to Real Sociedad and says he wants to finish his career at the club. Campo, 34, was released by Bolton at the end of last season, but the former Real Madrid midfielder is desperate to continue playing at the highest level.
The Spanish international admits he was upset at the way Gary Megson offloaded him and sent a letter to Bolton fans to express his unhappiness.
Campo has been strongly linked with a move to Sociedad and is hoping to tie up a move in the next few days.
Campo said: "This would be a very attractive move for me. My parents live there and to play for Real is a positive option. That is my first consideration right now.
"My goal right now is to continue playing football and what better place to do that than at Real."
