Potential Trump Impeachment Big Business for Bookies

The world may only be a few weeks into President Trump's first term, but already the knives are out. From political opponents and protesters to media networks and Hollywood stars, it seems everyone and their dog is ready to revolt against the billionaire.

In fact, reports have begun to surface that at least one House Democrat is preparing a mini-coup against Trump. In the event that an American President is deemed "unfit" to hold their position, the 25th Amendment gives members of the executive branch the power to force Congress to vote on their removal.

Brought into effect in 1967 following the death of John F. Kennedy, the Amendment sets out the procedure for removing the President and, subsequently, replacing them with the Vice President. However, according to Rep. Earl Blumenauer of Oregon, the law is flawed as the President has the power to fire the cabinet that has the power to vote on their position.

Therefore, in this situation, Blumenauer appears to be suggesting that the 25th Amendment needs adjusting because he fears Trump may prevent any attempts to oust him. To back this up, the Oregon Democrat stated that he's noticed this flaw in light of "mental or emotional incapacity".

Although he stopped short of pinning these accusations on Trump, the message seems to be that he, at least, is looking at legal loopholes to remove the divisive figure from office. Basically, this could be the start of a move to impeach President Trump. That, if you're a betting fan, is what many of the top bookmakers are now speculating.
