We're back for the seventh week of the EU LCS and the league table have finally begin to settle as we find ourselves in the latter half of the split. It's a tight race for the play-off spots for the Summer Split Finals after both G2 and Misfits dropped a game each to Schalke 04 and Vitality respectively.
The teams just behind are closing in and this weekend's matches will be pivotal to the four teams in the mid-table still chasing. Here we'll provide some well considered League of Legends betting tips for this week's action.
Last seasons first and second placed teams will face this weekend for a rematch from the third week. Fnatic and G2 goes head to head on Saturday in what will probably be the best match of the week.
G2 won the last time around but Fnatic has really turned around their poor start to the season while G2 seems to be running out of fuel a bit. The bookmakers slightly favours Fnatic and betting on a victory for last season's champions is 4/5 at Betway.
However there's value to be found in the first blood bet in this match-up. G2 has one of the best records of coming back from a deficit this season and have been able to clinch eight wins despite being a team that starts quite slow in this early-game focused meta. They have managed to take the first blood only in a third of their matches even though their in the third place in LCS currently with an 8-4 record.
Fnatic have on the other hand successfully drawn the first blood in an impressive 75% of their matches. They're clearly more deadly in the low leveled pick offs than G2 has been so far and 5/6 for Fnatic to take the first blood in their clash on Saturday is a bargain offered by Bet365.
Another interesting clash this weekend will be between the two teams competing for the play off spots. Schalke 04 and Roccat will battle it out on Friday in a very important match in the upper mid-table. Both teams have had an upwards trajectory during the last two weeks of play and this game might be the determining factor to which team might clinch the final play- off spot.
Schalke 04 surprisingly took down G2 last weekend with an unexpected Zed pick in the mid- lane from Nukeduck and an aggressive overall setup. Even though some of their success were a result of sloppy play from G2 they stood for a good performance.
Schalke has won five out of their last six games, only losing to Fnatic last weekend. Important to keep in mind though is that except for G2, the rest have been victories over the teams at the bottom of the table.
Roccat has also had a resurgence as of late with a heavy early game focus. They have a hard time winning unless they get off to a good start but they've really become deadly in the early game and should by no means be underestimated. They've had a spotty record in the last couple of weeks but have essentially only lost to the very best. They also managed to take down G2 two weeks ago, matching Schalke 04's scalp.
Top eSports bookmakers quite heavily favours Schalke 04 in this match-up and somewhat deservedly they should go in as slight favourites. But a Roccat victory for 5/4 available at Mr Green feels like too good of a bet to pass up in a match that feels like 55-45 in Schalke's favour.
We can find a final bet with good value in Splyce versus H2k and once again we'll take a closer look at the first blood. Splyce have established themselves as a solid mid-table team this season while H2k has hit rock bottom. Their record so far is a horrendous 0-12 in matches which means haven't managed to scrape together a single win so far.
H2k has only managed to take the first blood in one game out of twelve played and they've been run over by the opposition from start to finish in most games. Splyce on the other hand has taken first blood in half of their matches and look to improve that statistic this weekend. Bet365 offers a tempting 4/7 for Splyce to take the first blood against H2k, a surefire bet according to the stats so far.
