Royal Baby Betting

The announcement of Kate Middleton’s pregnancy has not only caused headlines across the world but has also presented plenty of markets concerning the forthcoming Royal Baby.

The first market is the name of the baby. Bet365 Sports currently has George, Diana and Elizabeth as the joint-favourites at 10/1. If the baby is a boy, it would appear that George, the name of William’s great-grandfather is strongly fancied, while Philip and Charles are both available at 14/1. If it is a girl, Diana and Elizabeth, William’s mother and grandmother’s names, are the favourites, closely followed by Frances, Mary and Anne at 14/1.

However, if you fancy something slightly different, there are several possibilities. If you think the baby might be named after William’s brother then Harry is available at 50/1, while Adelaide is on offer at 33/1.

There are a range of other Bet365 Sports Royal Baby markets available as well. Unsurprisingly, you can back the gender of the baby at evens for both options, and depending on when you think the baby will be born, you can choose ‘Before 1st July’ at 4/6. If that is not specific enough, you can back a morning birth at 4/5, while an afternoon or evening birth is available at evens with.

The weight of our future Royal is another market available. The average baby weighs 7.5lbs, so between 7lbs and 7lbs 15oz at 7/4 seems a solid price. 6-6lbs 15oz is available at 3/1, while 8-8lbs 15oz is a fractionally bigger 7/2. However, if you reckon it will be a large baby, 10lbs or more is a mammoth 18/1.
