Bet-At-Home has been about since 1999, with the release of their sportsbook coming in 2000. This makes them one of the longest-running online bookmakers in the industry.
The company now boasts over 5 million players across all platforms of the brand and take a staggering £3.2 billion in bets each year from the sportsbook. As a result, they have been able to work in a multitude of markets, such as the UK and across Europe.
Sponsorship has played a huge role in the success of Bet-At-Home. They have targeted a range of sports teams and competitions to spread the word. The Bundesliga has been a keen stomping ground for them in this regard, with their biggest and most recent deals with FC Schalke 04 and Hertha Berlin.

Registration to Bet-At-Home is simple and will only take a couple of minutes to fill in the forms.
Before we dive into that, it's worth noting that you can sign up using either your Google account or your PayPal account. It works by linking your log in details and then the details assigned to one or the other account before then allowing you to log in using this info.
We must add that you will need to add banking options separately if you use this method, but it makes what is already a simple process even easier.
If you do need to add in your details, then you start by adding info such as name, address, country, along with login info such as a password and security questions. You're going to need to verify these at some point, so make sure they are correct.
The second part of the process allows you to set account limits if you want them.
Once all this is done, you then need to verify your account. Bet-At-Home uses Jumio that links up to either your smartphone or laptops camera. You just need to put the documents that it asks for in front of the camera and it will take a photo.
It's worth noting that you don't need to complete this step straight away if you don't have the documents to hand. But you will not be able to bet or deposit on-site until you are verified. This may seem a little laborious, but it's standard for the industry now and is something that all bookmakers ask for.
As a little reward for signing up, it's worth noting that you're going to be able to get 5 free spins on the Starburst slot worth up to £0.50. The free spins will be credited to your account as soon as you are verified, and the best thing is that there are no wagering requirements for any money won.
There's a nice range of banking methods that are online at Bet-At-Home and there should be something that suits all types of bettors here.
In terms of deposits, they will start from as little as £10. They will all be processed instantly, apart from bank transfers that can take up to 3 working days and no fees are applied to any of these methods. Outside of the usual debit cards and e-wallets like Neteller, Skrill and Paypal, you can also use Paysafecard or Diners Club to fund your account.
Withdrawal methods are equally abundant. They start as low as £0.01 for bank transfers. It's worth noting that there are no fees for any withdrawal, apart from bank transfer, Skrill and Trustly, where you get 3 free per month and then after that, it will cost £5 per transaction. This is not ideal, but it will be manageable for most punters.
Withdrawal times are incredibly prompt. Skrill, Neteller and Trustly are processed immediately. Debit cards will take up to 3 working days.
We have to be honest when we say that the Bet-At-Home bookmaker is one that looks quite dated now. It's OK for what it is, but most of their competitors have brought out some pretty drastic redesigns over the last 12 months or so and they have left Bet-At-Home behind in this regard.
Having said that, it is a site that we like to use. We may be a little old-school here, but it does function well, a little like a classic bookmaker might. They do include a search function which is pinned on all pages throughout the site, so you're never far from where you need to be. The search also completes what you are typing, so you don't need to wait for a new page to load, which is great!
There is no dedicated app to download for the bookmaker, which is a shame. It does have a mobile-friendly site though, and you access this simply by heading to the page on your smartphone's browser. It's designed using HTML 5 so it will render to pretty much any mobile device.
The mobile site isn't all that great though. Again, it looks dated and compared to their competition, it is lacking. It does have great usability though and you can jump pretty much instantly to and from markets.
You've got a good range of sports to choose from at Bet-At-Home. One of the things that stood out was their attention to detail when it came to more niche sports and markets.
A recent addition has been that of eSports. It's been clear that they have seen this as an opportunity and they offer a massive range of games that they cover within, including Counter Strike, League of Legends, DOTA 2, StarCraft II, Rainbow Six and plenty of others.
They are also very much focused on sports that their European punters would like to bet on and haven't just made it UK-focused, like the majority of their competitors. These include things like Alpine skiing, Biathlon, Nordic Combined and Sailing.
Unfortunately, this comes at the glaring expense of horse racing. This omission isn't uncommon among some bookmakers, so it's not unique to Bet-At-Home. It is disappointing though, all the same.
Pricing at Bet-At-Home is mixed, but then this is what we would be expecting from them. They are very capable of offering some of the best prices that you can find, but at the same time, they can also offer some of the worst.
A similar theme can be found in their margins as well. Sometimes they were favourable for the punter, others they were not.
This wouldn't put us off using Bet-At-Home however and is one of the biggest reasons why many choose to use them, for the times they are erratically good!
We've already spoken about the design of the site and how it might not be the best that we have seen. But it does have some features that we like and one of them is the menu system. For this, you were able to select or unselect the sports betting markets to show in the menu bar. This means that you don't have to fully access that sport to see what is going on.
After you work through several layers it will eventually take you to that main page. But it means that it stops having to wait for each page to load and instead you can just use their drop-down menu to expand or contract the markets that you want to bet on.
Another point that we've touched on is that of the eSports betting section, but again, we need to dig deeper into this for you. It's a fairly recent addition to the site and was only launched in September 2018, but they've done an incredible job in covering one of the fastest-growing betting markets in the industry right now.
They've taken it so seriously that they have included a whole section dedicated to eSports betting. There are dozens of games in tournaments that are taking place all over the world. We will go as far as saying that Bet-At-Home are leading the way in terms of eSports coverage and it's one of then bookmakers biggest selling points as a result.
Another great feature has been the inclusion of their betting stats section. It's made in-house, which is rare but covers huge detail with a wide range of sports. You can access this either generally from the main menu, or you can click the graph next to the game that you're looking to get info on to be taken directly to that page.
Finally, the live betting section is another dedicated area that has continued to grow over the last few years. If we are being honest it's also a little dated in design, but again, it functions really well. We loved the tabbed area at the top of the page that allowed you to store a number of matches so you can get easy access as and when you need it. They also cover a lot of games, with over 7,000 daily markets to choose from, so it can get quite hectic here.
Promotions come and go from Bet-At-Home, so the best thing to do to get up to date offers is to check on their “promotions” tab within the bookmaker.
At the time of this review, the most widely available promotion is the 0-0 Cashback Bonus. Simply place a single bet on any Premier League match within their selected betting markets and if the game finishes 0-0, then you will be given a refund of your bet up to £50. Any voucher will need to be rolled over 3 times within 180 days before withdrawing.
Customer support at Bet-At-Home is great and it's one of the sites biggest assets. You can get in touch in four different ways – Live chat, phone, email or post.
Each operator that we spoke to was excellent. They knew exactly what their role was, and they were able to answer all queries promptly and accurately as well.
Bet-At-Home have taken their role in player protection very seriously. They are a part of Gamcare which means that players need to verify their accounts before they are able to deposit or place a bet.
On top of this, they also have several features on their site, such as playing limits, timeout, self-exclusion, stats on player gambling habits and also a long list of organisations that can help. They do stress that if a player feels they need help to contact them immediately and they will be able to assist.
There's a lot to like at Bet-At-Home and it's clear to see why they have over 5 million players using their platform every day. The site is a little dated in design, but it delivers in terms of sports and market coverage.
The standout for us would have to be eSports betting. It's pretty crazy to see just how deep they go with this and as a result, they are now one of the best in the business for this market.
Bet-At-Home isn't the finished article, but they are a brand that offers a lot and one that we are happy to recommend to anyone looking for an online sportsbook.Visit Bet-at-Home Sports
