BetRivers In Canada With Launch of Social Gaming in Ontario
Rush Street Interactive is entering the Canadian online casino market. The company announced Thursday it will launch its social gaming platform, CASINO4FUN, in Ontario.
The free-to-play online casino and sportsbook is now available on all mobile devices and computers for Ontario residents 19 years and older at BetRivers.
“Our expansion into Canada represents an exciting new frontier for RSI and continues our growth across the Americas,” said Richard Schwartz, Chief Executive Officer of RSI. “CASINO4FUN® offers our community of players the same high level of entertainment and customer service of RSI’s real-money gaming platform, delivered in a casual and free-to-play setting. We look forward to providing a truly differentiated gaming experience for players in Ontario that is focused on fostering player trust and enjoyment.”

CASINO4FUN is powered by the same technology that runs RSI’s real-money platforms. It offers Ontario players the gaming catalog RSI provides to residents in the United States and Latin America.
RSI’s online casino features more than 350 of the latest slot machines and table games, in addition to unique loyalty and bonus features. Its online sportsbook also allows sports fans the ability to wager on single-game events and parlays on leagues across the world.
RSI anticipates launching its real-money internet casino and mobile sports betting in Ontario under the BetRivers brand in the coming months. For now, players can use the CASINO4FUN social gaming experience to get acquainted with the company and its brand.
Signing up for CASINO4FUN will allow players to complete the registration process for the BetRivers real-money platform when it launches.
Canada is now the third country where RSI runs real-money or social gaming. Per Eilers & Krejcik, it is the fourth largest operator of online casino and sports wagering combined in the United States as of July. In Colombia, RSI was nominated as the “Sportsbook of the Year” and “Casino Operator of the Year” at the SBC Latinoamerica Awards in 2021.
RSI goes live in Connecticut
RSI was one of three companies to go live in Connecticut on Tuesday.
Partnered with the Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC), RSI launched its PlaySugarhouse Sportsbook, allowing players in Connecticut to place online sports bets during this week’s soft launch.
In addition to RSI, FanDuel and DraftKings were the other two operators to launch their sportsbooks in Connecticut. FanDuel is partnered with the Mohegan Tribe, while DraftKings and the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe reached a deal. The CLC announced a partnership with RSI in August after reviewing numerous applications from operators looking to gain access to the Connecticut sports betting market.
Each of the three operators are limited to 750 users during the soft launch. If all goes smoothly over the week, a full-scale launch across the state is set to take place on Tuesday.
