One extremely lucky player has hit the highly lucrative Mega Moolah jackpot this week, taking home the unbelievable £5.8 million slots jackpot that has eluded players for months on end.

The name of the lucky winner is as yet unknown. The mystery winner will go down in history as scooping the largest ever jackpot from the Mega Moolah progressive series, which increases in size at a rate of around £120,000 a month. The jackpot has now been reset to a not too shabby $1 million minimum cash payout, and the gambling world will be on tenterhooks as they wait for the next big winner. The previous winner in the Mega Moolah series came in July 2012, where a lucky UK player scooped £2.6 million.

Speaking after the mega jackpot win, a spokesman for the Casino Rewards Network enthused over the size of the prize, stating he was “blown away by last night’s £5.8 million win...We’ve seen a massive increase in play over the past few months while the jackpot was high, which all contributed to it getting bigger and bigger”. The game has contributed to some of the largest online slot wins in history, having handed out more than three prizes in excess of $5 million over the last three years.

If you want to be in with a shot of scooping the next Mega Moolah progressive jackpot prize, then get involved. Mega Moolah is available on all casinos partnered with the world leading software developers Microgaming, including Ladbrokes Casino and 32Red Casino.
