Two of slots gaming’s most innovative developers have unveiled their first new titles for 2016. Quickspin and Betsoft Gaming have just added Genie’s Touch and 4 Seasons to their respective portfolios, in what looks set to be a bumper year for these award-winning development houses.
Genie’s Touch, which premiered at ICE Totally Gaming earlier this month, is a ten-payline slot title equipped with cutting-edge animation and sound. In its ‘Magic Lamp’ feature, three magic lamp symbols make the genie reach out and turn adjacent symbols into matching ones, creating new winning combinations wherever possible.
As with many Quickspin titles, the number of free spins up for grabs can be tailored by operators, while a special trigger feature enables player loyalty to be rewarded. Genie’s Touch is hosted on the company’s proprietary platform and has been developed in partnership with Estonian developer, Relax Gaming.
Daniel Lindberg, Chief Executive of Quickspin, explained:
"...the Genie is one of the enduring mythological images and is appropriate to slots players looking to uncover riches. We think her ability to turn symbols into matching ones and the free spins feature will have great appeal and we’re confident it will be a real money-spinner."
This announcement comes hot on the heels of the developer's publishing deal with the Betsson Group. Quickspin will be supplying content to the Scandinavian company's roster of brands, including Betsafe, Kroon and Nordic, as well as giving it full access to its HTML5-friendly titles.
Meanwhile, Betsoft Gaming’s new launch, 4 Seasons, is a five-reel, 30-payline title that is based around Ancient Chinese mythology, specifically the Zodiac. 4 Seasons' various special features and bonuses have been specially engineered to optimise player retention and loyalty, with industry-leading graphics central to the design of this and many other Betsoft titles.
This new addition appears to reflect Betsoft's philosophy of slick visuals and rewarding gameplay, with a diverse range of multipliers, a special Seasonal Wheel feature, wild and free spin bonuses, and the opportunity for a succession of block combination wins.
Betsoft’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Mark McKeown, explained:
“4 Seasons is a remarkable video slot; with such innovative features and detailed 3D modelling, the game is certain to be a popular choice among today’s player.”
It looks like it's the 3D modelling element in particular that's set to excite the gaming community. Betsoft's overall aim for a more immersive gaming experience is evident across a number of its most widely-played titles, including Alkemor’s Tower, Good Girl, Bad Girl and A Christmas Carol. It's no doubt thanks to this innovative approach that the company was recently nominated for the 'Casino Content Supplier' gong at the EGR Nordics Gaming Awards.
And in a further announcement, Betsoft has also unveiled a mobile version of its popular Slots3 game, Barbary Coast, the nautical-themed title that sees players take to the high seas in pursuit of riches. Optimised for iOS, Android and Windows phones, Barbary Coast ToGo is available now in all major app stores.
