Casino-X is a comparatively older site that combines betting and casino games. Starting out in 2012, the site was especially good for US sports and has greatly expanded its markets over time to include many others.
Being one of the more established online sportsbooks, the site is also home to live betting and a well-stocked casino, which offers a massive choice of slots. We'll be focusing on the sportsbook for this review, but it's worth keeping in mind the site's other elements if you’re looking for one place for all your gaming.
Casino-X does have a dedicated app for Android and Apple devices, but it's not a major must have given the site is also optimised for mobile devices. That said, the app doesn't appear to support live betting anyway, so is really only of use if you want to play the slots. The mobile site is fairly solid, being an extension of main desktop site itself.
How smooth and responsive it is depends on the power of your device and the speed of your connection. Using 4G or public Wi-Fi will generally give you a slightly slower experience, as it can take a while for the site to load up. Once it does though, you can access all features you'd expect from the main site.
Casino-X doesn't break the mould when it comes to its sportsbook layout and that's no bad thing. If you've ever used an online bookmaker before then you should feel right at home here. All the sports are listed along the left-hand side of the screen.
You can access more markets by clicking on your preferred sport. The most popular events of the day are listed separately, so you can jump right in if you're looking for the big match or some playoffs.
The overall design of the site actually changes when you access the sportsbook as well. The casino section is very bright and cartoony, but the sportsbook section of the site is a pleasant contrast of simple black and white, so there's nothing to distract from the odds and information.
You won't really find the odds at Casino-X to be much different to the other sportsbooks out there. The average percentage is around the 93% mark, but it's worth noting the site does have slightly more competitive odds for a few markets.
While the odds-on sports like the NHL or NBA are what you'd probably find elsewhere, keep an eye on the tennis markets here – they can often offer better odds than competitor sites. If you're looking for the best betting opportunities, then make sure to check through even the niche markets if you can.
Betting options at Casino-X are very good and there's an extensive list of odds for pretty much every market offered (more niche sports have slightly fewer markets, but that's to be expected). You can find what's available for each sport by clicking on your chosen field and there's a good choice of live betting available as well.
The live betting at Casino-X is both varied and easy to access. Thanks to the many markets on offer, which include sports played around the globe, you'll be able to find live betting options almost any time of day. There's also a last-minute bet section for placing odds on events about to start.
As with any sportsbook or online casino, Casino-X runs new player promotions, which are specially geared towards the sportsbook inclined customer. You'll generally find the same kind of offers here as you'd expect – free spins and variable percentages on your first deposit.
There are plenty of banking options at Casino-X. You can use common methods like Visa and Mastercard, as well as industry standard services like Skill and Neteller, which generally offer you faster withdrawals. Interestingly Casino-X also allows you to make deposits and withdrawals using Bitcoin.
Support, however, is where the site really lets itself down. There is no live chat, no dedicated support page and no FAQs available from the sportsbook section at all. There is an email for support, but it's buried in the terms and conditions page. Very lacklustre compared to other sites.
Casino-X does most things right. The design is intuitive, uncluttered and packed with all the important information you need when considering bets. There's a good live betting selection, great choice of markets and an easy-to-use mobile site. That said, lack of access to decent support is a serious downside.
|excellent choice of markets||nothing spectacular about most major odds|
|surprisingly good odds on certain sports||new player offers are pretty standard|
