Carl Frampton Signs On as New 32Red Brand Ambassador
Belfast boxer Carl Frampton returned to the ring on 18 November after spending two years on the side lines and it seems as though he wasn’t wasting his time out of action. Heading into the ring, Northern Ireland’s first two-weight world champion was sporting the familiar 32Red logo as part of a new sponsorship deal.
According to the online betting operator, Frampton has joined the team under a multi-fight deal that will include a number of online and offline promotions. The deal itself seems to be a natural fit for Frampton, who joined promoter Frank Warren.
As part of an ongoing relationship between Frank Warren Promotions and 32Red, Frampton would have naturally been absorbed into the mix. Indeed, with other Frank Warren fighters such as Billy Joe Saunders and Daniel Dubois all having some link to the betting brand, Frampton was able to slip nicely into the fold!
Frampton to Bring Some Extra Punching Power to 32Red
Given Frampton's status as one of the biggest stars not only in Irish boxing, but world boxing, 32Red wanted to do something a little different. Indeed, with Ring Magazine, ESPN and the Boxing Writers Association of America all naming Frampton as their 2016 Fighter of the Year, the Irishman’s brand is bigger than most.
Announcing the deal, Director of Brand & Acquisition at 32Red Gerry Murray said the plan is to use Frampton’s profile to add something extra to the deal. Murray explained:
"We have a successful existing partnership with Carl’s new promoter Frank Warren and when the opportunity presented itself to take that to the next level by adding him as an ambassador, it was something we jumped at."
To get the new partnership underway, Frampton will begin producing content for 32Red’s blog and the company’s social media channels. Although details of Frampton’s content are being kept under wraps for now, it’s expected that he’ll provide personal and professional insights into the latest boxing action.
Off the back of this, punters will get some knockout advice on the hot picks in the boxing world – advice they can then use inside the boxing betting markets. Indeed, with a certified star like Frampton now on the team, 32Red will be looking to up its coverage and bring more odds to its online and mobile sites.
Betting and Boxing Forming a Knockout Combination
The leading online betting brands getting into boxing is nothing new, but 32Red is certainly on trend with its latest deal with Frampton. Betfair recently announced its Defender to Contender scheme that will see former footballer Rio Ferdinand work with the brand to become a professional boxer.
Under the tutelage of former world champion Richie Woodhall, Ferdinand is now training while producing excusive content for Betfair. Beyond betting brands partnering with amateurs, William Hill and Dafabet have been working with current heavyweight king Anthony Joshua.
With British boxing on a high right now and everyone clamouring to jump on the bandwagon, 32Red appears to have made a shrewd move in signing Frampton. If you're interested in finding out more about Frampton's newest sponsor, be sure to visit 32Red's online gaming site today!
