Now that football season has come to an end its time to start getting ready for next season. This means that football clubs are transferring players, revising coaching positions, and renewing or searching for new sponsors. That is exactly what Newport County and Crawley Town have done early this week when they signed a sponsorship agreement with notable operator, 32red.
After ending its four-year deal with English Premier League soccer club Swansea Club last month, 32red signed on for a one-year sponsorship with Newport County and a two-year deal with Crawley Town.
32red’s logo will be worn in League Two, which is the fourth-tier of professional football in England, by Newport County. Newport County earned this spot after the Welsh side achieved promotion from the Blue Square Bet Premier division back in early May.
“This is another massive step forward for the club, attracting an international company to advertise its brand on our clubs shirts,” said Dave Boddy, Chief Executive Officer for Newport County. Boddy was pleased to be developing relationships with a national brand that has been seen in Premier League and Aston Villa. Crawley Town is looking to better themselves this year after they finished 10th position in the third-tier of English professional football.
“We have attracted an internationally renowned company with a well-known brand who has an excellent track record of working with football clubs. This is a tremendous deal for the football club,” said Ewan Dunlop, Commercial Manager for Crawley Town.
“Having sponsored two clubs in the top-flight, we’re now looking to invest in the roots of football. We are thrilled to support Newport County in its first season back in the football league,” said Mark Quayle, Head of Marketing for 32Red. Due to advertising regulations, 32red is prohibited from advertising on youth size replica shirts.
