The ballot boxes are now open for the sexiest election of the year. Despite prevailing opinion in Italy, this is not Silvio Berlusconi's latest foray into Italian politics, but the FHM 100 Sexiest Women in the World poll. Paddy Power Sports is giving punters the chance to have their say on the destination of the award for the world’s most attractive female celebrity as part of the bookmaker's novelty bets market.
The market closes on 31st March so there is plenty of time for voters to consider their options and decide who they fancy to succeed Tulisa Contostavlos as FHM’s Sexiest Woman of the Year. Tulisa, of N-Dubz infamy, is rumoured to have recently been dumped as a judge on The X-Factor, and the gambling markets suggest that her bad year will continue, with long odds of 16/1 against her retaining the top spot.
Coronation Street’s Michelle Keegan is the market favourite at odds of 6/4 (at the time of writing) after another year of radiance on the Corrie cobbles, but her competitors could be better options for those punters seeking a larger return from a Paddy Power Sports punt.
Second favourite in the market is Mila Kunis (11/4), star of 2012 hit comedy Ted. Kunis has been involved in some of Hollywood’s steamiest scenes in recent years - alongside Natalie Portman in Black Swan and Justin Timberlake in Friends with Benefits - and this is sure to count for something with male voters.
Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence will also be attracting attention. Her popularity has exploded following her Oscar triumph, so punters may want to consider the X-Men: First Class beauty before her odds of 4/1 are shortened.
If you agree with Samantha Brick that she herself is worthy of the award, the Daily Mail journalist, who claims to be hated by women for her looks, is available at 1000/1.
