Betting Tips for WrestleMania 33: Goldberg Battles Lesner

The wait is nearly over for this year's much anticipated WWE WrestleMania 33. There are some mouth-watering matches lined up for those who enjoy taking a punt when these giants clash – not least former MMA star Brock Lesnar vs WWE veteran superstar Goldberg and Bray Wyatt vs Randy Orton.
The WWE is finalising preparations for the 65,000+ fans that will be packed in the stadium come Monday 2 April 2017. For those in the UK, the pay-per-view event starts at 10pm on Sunday, with the main event from 12am. While you countdown the days, here's our betting guide to slamming the bookies with some value bets!
WWE WrestleMania 33 Betting Preview 2017
WrestleMania 33's full line-up, as usual, will contain some surprises, but the guaranteed PPV offering will include two huge match-ups and some of the best bets of the WWE Championship. Most notably, the event will feature Brock Lesnar versus Goldberg, plus Randy Orton against Bray Wyatt – two fights with interesting betting odds for punters looking to stay up for a late one on Sunday night.
Top Bets of Brock Lesnar vs Goldberg
Speculation is rife that Brock Lesnar and Bill Goldberg will close the show with the main event at this year's WrestleMania. There's no denying it's an intriguing contest – both as a spectacle and a betting proposition. As you know, this is a fight between two undisputed legends of the wrestling game and, in beating Kevin Owens at Fastlane for the Universal Championship, Lesnar has set-up a fight that has WWE fans licking their lips.
This fight is for the championship belt title. Goldberg may be 50 now, but he seems to have a practical and psychological advantage over Lesnar, having beaten him in a quick-fire 86 seconds at Survivor Series in November before ordering him to take an early shower at the Royal Rumble in January. However, the current odds guides massively favour Lesnar to gain revenge – with current odds of 12/1 versus 1/50 available with bookies such as William Hill.
The bookies clearly fancy the WWE to even things up and for the drama to unfold with Lesnsar slamming his opponent on the big stage – but will he? At the odds on offer, it's not a very appealing bet. While there are sure to be twists and turns, one way the action could unfold is for Lesnar to gain the upperhand, seemingly be about to crush Goldberg, only for him to pull a move out of the bag and claim the Championship.
At odds of 12-1, this seems to have more value in it. Although there don't seem to be many online betting sites offering exotic markets around the length of the bout, this is something worth looking out for closer to the event. After all, these two do have history of both long drawn out affairs and 'don't blink or you'll miss it' scraps.
It's easy to think that the WWE would favour something fitting of the big stage – although arguably a fast finish and KO power might just do it. This said, with people paying big money to attend WrestleMania 33 and millions of pay-per-view subscriptions, prolonged drama is the better bet (assuming Lesnar's up to lasting more than a couple of minutes – but he'll desperately want the Universal Title and to avoid humiliation).
Top Bets of Randy Orton vs Bray Wyat
So, we all know that Bray Wyatt is pretty much in-line with the Devil, but he’s also a serial underachiever on the big stage. He failed to show he was a real bad guy by losing to the Undertaker and John Cena. However, it makes for a more dramatic ‘I told you so’ if he does finally bring doom on the world by beating Randy Orton.
Remember that Viper has angered Wyatt by burning down the shrine that was Sister Abigail's grave and he claims that it's unleashed the full fury of hell within him. Of course, will WWE want a satanist to claim power live on TV? The bookies say no, making Orton a strong favourite to bring down satan's wild child with odds of 1/8 against Wyatt's 9/2.
Wrestling betting strategy can be tricky and anything can happen – so the double shock could be an enticing 70/1 tip for WrestleMania 33. Head over to William Hill's online bookmaker sometime before the weekend for all the WrestleMania 33 betting odds you'll need!
