NetEnt Adds Free Round Widget to Growing Engage Portfolio

NetEnt has built a reputation for high-quality, engaging online slot and casino games, and its most recent development is aimed at improving the performance of casinos. It's called the Free Round Widget, and offers new rewards in the form of extra spins. The set of tools could be invaluable to online casino operators thanks to the fact it's totally customisable. This means that operators can really tweak the player experience to fit with their brand philosophy while offering more incentives to players!

NetEnt Engage™

The widget will expand the options already available in the NetEnt Engage™ suite, which already helps operators to tailor their online gaming. Existing tools include offering real-time rewards to players, cross-selling between games, dynamic coin settings and now free rounds as well. Henrik Fagerlund, NetEnt's Chief Product Officer is confident the widget will become an invaluable asset to online casinos, stating:

"Free Round Widget is a great addition to NetEnt Engage™, which is packed full of performance-boosting products and features, and another example of how NetEnt is committed to driving the online casino market forward through better gaming solutions."

When combined with all the existing features of NetEnt Engage™, it should be easier than ever for online casinos to offer a unique and bespoke journey for their players. This in turn can help to build loyalty – everyone loves a free spin or two, after all. Keeping players interested and enthusiastic is more important than ever, and Henrik Fagerlund was keen to highlight NetEnt's recognition of this fact:

"We understand the huge value in placing player engagement at the fore, and are constantly working on innovative and exciting ways to facilitate this."

The Benefits for Players

While everyone may well love a free spin or two, it can quickly get monotonous as a reward. It's also a slot staple, and arguably in need or a shake up to make it more reactive and modern. That's exactly what NetEnt is aiming for with the Free Spin Widget. The premise is fairly simple, but likely to prove very effective.

The widget simply adds the element of surprise into the free spin promotion. This means that the chances of gaining both free spins and more spins than normal are introduced. The exact parameters for these chances can be set by the operator, as well as how often the players can trigger the widget.

In many ways, it's like a mini game. The widget is presented as a fortune wheel, which players can spin to find out how many additional free spins they've won on that slot. Also, it doesn’t matter how many symbols trigger the feature itself. Players will still have a fair chance of winning the maximum or minimum amount of free spins.

When combined with the existing NetEnt tools, this could certainly be a very good incentive for players to keep spinning the slots – especially on progressive jackpots or games that feature a lot of bonus modes. More spins means more chances of bonus modes or hitting that massive jackpot, after all, and if they're free spins, even better.

The only potential downside to the new system is that operators may not use it to its full potential or limit the amount of times it can trigger. This should be unlikely though, given that the benefits for both players and the casinos themselves (in terms of more playtime and increased engagement) are clear.

It's also worth remembering that NetEnt's Engage™ system is an ever-evolving one, so this new addition is just one of many that players and casinos can look forward to trying out in the coming months.
