EGR Honors Group With Affiliate of the Year Award

Long one of the leading gaming affiliates in the world, Group earned the prestigious Affiliate of the Year Award from EGR, the industry’s preeminent information and networking organization. Group earned the top honor at the 2018 EGR Operator Awards, the premier award show for online gaming. Touted as “one of the best in the business” by the event’s judges, Group was recognized with one of the event’s most prestigious honors for the first time.

“The presentation was crystal clear as they came in with the numbers and the reasons behind why they have made the decisions they have made,” EGR officials said about Group’s win. “They have also streamlined organic growth, done the right M&A and focused on new markets.”

Judges also saw the company's 336% year on year sales growth as well as its 207% year on year organic growth when evaluating the honor. The company bested nine other finalists for the Affiliate of the Year Award.

Affiliate of the Year Caps Impressive Showing

Along with the Affiliate of the Year honor, the Group took home an additional recognition as the top Casino Affiliate. Judges saw the application as a “well-rounded submission that demonstrates strong growth over the judging period through a mixture of organic and M&A.” Group CEO Charles Gillespie saw the honors as a significant milestone of the company’s role and impact within the industry.

”Having regularly appeared on the shortlist for the Affiliate of the Year award, it was fantastic to get it over the line and win,” Gillespie said. “It was a tremendous result with two of the three affiliate awards and a fabulous night out for the team. We look forward to defending the title in 2019.” Group was among the finalists for two EGR awards in 2017.

The honors capped off a busy award season for EGR. Beginning with a rigorous application process, the contestants were reviewed by an awards committee of more than two-dozen industry leaders and narrowed down to a shortlist announced Sept. 10. Finalists were recognized at a gala in London Oct. 25.

All entrants were judged on how well they “stood out from the pack in a competitive sector through innovation, traffic generation and growth.” Competitors were further evaluated on differentiation and quality of offerings as well as the strength of partner relationships. Group Continues Growth
