888 Holdings PLC has entered into a revenue share and licensing agreement with Gaming Realms PLC for the distribution of new ‘Slingo Originals’ content. Under the three year deal, 888 will host the new Slingo games on its Dragonfish B2B platform, which distributes across more than 200 premium online bingo websites.
The games will also be made available on Gaming Realms’ proprietary sites, with free demonstrations available at SlingoOriginals.com. Among the new games being launched are ‘Slingo Reel Extreme’ and ‘Slingo Xxxtreme’, with a number of other titles to be launched over the next twelve months.
The first ever Slingo game was made in 1995 by Sal Falciglia Sr. in the basement of his New Jersey home. The game is a hybrid of traditional bingo games and slot machines. Slingo games are currently played by over 55 million people across the world on casino slots, mobile, social, scratch lottery tickets and other platforms.
Dragonfish has adopted a mobile first strategy for its product development, in an effort to maintain the same momentum as many other software providers. The release of Slingo games on 888’s Dragonfish platform will be a welcome addition for players familiar with some well known games licensed through the Dragonfish platform.
Those who play at 888ladies will surely be well accustomed to the style of games released that uses Dragonfish software. The Dragonfish Casinoflex solution will presumably play a part in the Slingo Originals content. Casinoflex already powers some of the most popular new casino brands.
Gaming Realms develops, publishes and licenses mobile gaming content and their “market-leading mobile technology” powers content distribution and monetization across real money and social gaming markets, as is stated on their official website.
Gaming Realms use their proprietary data platform to create and maintain global audiences that are expanded via “strategic lottery, media and platform partnerships” similar to the one with 888 Holdings. Aside from 888, some other major licensees to date include Electronic Arts, Scientific Games, Zynga and IGT.
Gaming Realms recently announced that it has entered into a 10 year framework services agreement with the Jackpotjoy group for the supply of various real money services on favoured terms, which will include "Slingo Originals" content.
The Company has also entered into a separate agreement for the provision of JackpotHappy.com, a white label site on the Gaming Realms proprietary platform, as was stated in a press release on the company site.
888 Holdings had an excellent 2017, and 2018 is shaping up to be the same. Alongside the deal with Gaming Realms, the company appointed a new COO in Itai Pazner last October and launched 888poker in Italy earlier this month.
It would seem that 888 Holdings and its subsidiaries are set for an exciting 2018, with the launch in Italy hopefully acting as a pleasant precursor for the companies 2018 dealings. Speaking on the launch of 888poker in Italy, Pazner commented:
"We’re delighted to bring our poker site to the Italian market, which fits with our strategy to expand 888’s presence in regulated markets and strengthens our position for the forthcoming pooling of players across selected European markets. Following the success of our sports betting and casino products in the market, it was a natural step to offer our poker brand to our Italian customers so they can enjoy all three products, seamlessly and in one place."
The company, which offers a multitude of casino and sports betting options, has been at the forefront of the online gaming industry since 1997, and the expansion into Slingo games will be a welcome one for its far-reaching player base.
